Cheer 2010

Hello! Just a quick update cause I have lots of homework to rush, from missing classes for 2 whole weeks. Anyways, so I can say that Cheer '10 has finally come and gone in a flash. The 2 day cheerleading competition we cheerleaders have been training our butts of for that mere 2 and a half minutes on the blue mat.

For a bunch of newcomers I think we pretty much did our best out there (11 new comers out of 16 yo!), and look where it got us to! But you can't deny it, Cyrens really deserved winning the title this year, they totally blew everyone away with their spectacular tumbling skills and flawless routine though out both days. :)

I just want to give a big thank you to Coach, the parents, the supporters, and of course all of my sexy ladiess (inside joke)! Wouldn't have achieve such placing without the support of you guys.

1. Cyrens 281.5 + 273.0 = 554.5

2. Blitzerz  254.0 + 263.0 = 517.0

3. Dynamitez   266.5 + 250.5 = 517.0

4. Stompers    254.0 + 262.5 = 516.5

5. D*Starz  242.0 + 262.5 = 504.5

It was a close fight between us Blitzerz and the Dynamitez, we share the same marks but we ended up snagging the second placing cause we had less infractions :) While fourth placed Stompers was just 0.5 marks behind us.

Canon IXUS 300HS

As you've already know, I've been camera-less for about a month now. And finally I gotten a new one already, before cheer. YES!

Op, sexy lah my new Canon IXUS 300HS. I got the black one. So far, it's been functioning GREAT. More than I could ask for actually. This camera is still quite new in the market, even I had a tough time looking for pictures of it that I had rip it of the Canon site. I chose the charcoal black one because the red and white one had a sort of plasticky glossy look which doesn't look that nice in my opinion. However, the charcoal black one has a sandy matte professional feel to it :)

Things I love about this camera:
1) Captures great photos even in low light
2) Super slow motion playbacks (for my toe touches :P)
3) Aperture and shutter control <3
4) Lots of effects such as Fish Eye & Miniature

Things I dislike about this camera:
1) Can't stand vertically (the picture above is a LIEE )

Monday Blues

Tiffany & Co. 

Tiffany Blue. As you know I've been hunting for the perfect Tiffany Blue nail polish since I saw it on the tips of TheBlondeSalad. But to find out it's freaking Chanel -_-" 

Anyho, I went to Chanel @ OneUtama to check if they actually had the nail polish in this side of the world, and they did! But it's freaking Chanel, it would probably cost a bomb -_-" So, I asked the saleslady how much was it, and it was RM70 for a bottle. God knows how many bottles of nail polish I could buy from Elianto with that kinda money, GEEZ.

So, I started googling for alternatives for the perfect Tiffany Blue color. There are quite a number of it actually, mostly at a cheaper price too!

The Face Shop's GR503(couldn't find image) and Essie's Mint Candy Apple are way too green, so their are definitely out.

Since the Chanel one is way outta my budget, I settled on the China Glaze one. 

Once I made up my mind, I placed an order at NailGalore as usual. 

To find out the next day, "sorry Nicole For Audrey is out of stock, we'll provide you a full refund."

Students Appreciation Night

From the failed responds from my previous-previous post.

OKAY, it's official that now no one reads my blog anymore. 

Probably an embarrassing picture of myself will get the traffic going, keep waiting :P 

So, students appreciation night was held last Saturday at KLGCC. More like self-appreciation night says Dad. EXACTLY my point. But, for the sake of getting dressed up and hanging out with some friends, why not? ZJ offered to fetch Regine and I there, so we headed to her place at around 4 to get ready. The car ride in ZJ's brother's car was the most hatred part of all! Talk about youngsters driving, okay I sound really old. But the worst part was his comments, like seriously? Anger was pilling up inside of me, but ...

I held it in since, if I would have told him off it wouldn't be nice cause he was doing me a favor by sending me there. SO! I said thank you as politely as possible and thank god I got out safely from that death ride. I'm very very very thankful that my brothers don't drive like that, wee happy face  :D

We got there an hour and a half early from the others, cause ZJ had to help with the preparations and all. So, Regine and I pretty much stoned through that hour and a half. A 1story high building isn't much to explore is it. Spent time, taking pictures of our reflection, going up and down the lifts like 6 times that night? Yea, pretty much it.

Till 7:30 the doors were finally open, I was starving by then. The night wasn't as impressive as I would have imagined it to be, but it's all for charity :) Left quite disappointed, maybe the wrong crowd I guess :\ (who's the right crowd then I often ask myself) In fact I was quite worried for the next day cause I had a 7KM run, and I had to wake up super early for that.Got home at around 12+. Barely had juice to remove my make up, but eventually did, then straight to the sack it was! 

It sucks not having a camera in hand for special events :( 

It missed C3, my BIRTHDAY dinner, surprise party, THIS and my run :(

Please don't tell me CHEER '10 TOO! T___T

It's not confiscated or anything, but it had to be sent back to Canon for service caused by my clumsiness. FOR THE SECOND TIME ALREADY. And this time its worst than a few knocked out pixels, I accidentally kicked the tripod and the whole thing came collapsing down, I went collapsing down with it too to break the fall of the camera on top, but it still managed to hit the ground, slightly. Causing the lens to be stuck and now it's not retracting back ):
