Nick's 20th @ Millesime

It was my brother Nick's 20th birthday last Thursday, so the family and I decided to take him to this fancy pantsy new French restaurant located at Solaris Dutamas called Millesime. We had a hard time locating the place since it was out very first time there, practically walked up-down-left-right about the building multiple times to finally find it right at the corner.

Carpaccio of Octopus with White Asparagus and Black Olive Vinaigrette

Seared Scallop on Sweet Pea Ragout with Lemon Chive Cream

Sweetbread with Peppered Duck Breast in Port Wine Jus

Main: Hallibut Fish on Crab Meat Gratinee with Arabian Prawn. (I chose to have the fish that night)
 Or
Main: Martell Cognac Flambeed French Quail with Glazed Chestnuts

Valrhana Bittersweet Chocolate Souffle

Mouth watering much? Well, don't underestimate the portions of these dishes when it comes to fine dining. This meal got us all bloated by the end of the day! The dinner came to about RM900 for the 5 of us.

also a complimentary cake from Millesime for the birthday boy.
Happy Birthday :)

Genting Trip 2010

Genting was fun, ofcouse la for someone like me who hasn't been there in ages, literally! Went on some rides I never thought I would go on, which actually turned out really fun. Overall, great bonding time with everyone :) But the greatest achievement is to ever Go-Kart before my brother Michael, twice! HEH in his face!

The more you look at it, the gayer it becomes.
Blacks are Angie's, Pinks are mine.

Cards in the rain while waiting for Pirate Ship to reopen.

4D show was terrifying, I wanted to sleep at night so i
practically shut both eyes and peeked whenever it felt safe.
" I WANT TURTLE, MA DE!"

This ride got us all soaked!

"songless merry go round killed our mood"

lunch in the room.

I never knew I bowl that well, HA!

Last day.

Sorry for the boring post, some things ruined my mood. Remember the Nuffnang If I Had Rapunzel's Hair Competition? Well, good news is I won a pair of tickets, bad news is they got revoked because of my silly mistake of directly replying my attendance to the the email which sent the notification, instead of sending the email to another specific email address which was written in the email. Disappointed indeed!

Wired Headbands

Wired Headbands, a very versatile piece of accessory. The good thing about this headbands is that their wired, obviously that's why it's called WIRED headbands. Anyways, it's good cause you can bend it into any shape and size you fancy. There are many different kinds of looks you can experiment on with the wired headband, for example the bunny ears/bow, the plain or the pimped out side ponytail.

I got mine a few weeks back but just thought I share with you guys the outcome of doing some of this looks with the wired headbands. Firstly, I got my pair of wired headbands from a blogshop called CuteClip, it's the cheapest place i found so far selling wired headbands, and the customer service there is great! Each of this wired headbands cost RM6 there, whereas places like Deeper And Harder sells them at like RM19, quality wise it's pretty much the same, so obviously you'll opt for a cheaper one right! I got myself a polka dotted one and a tie dye one, but if you dont fancy these designs as much as I do, dont worry, there are many other lovely designs available there at the store.

Here are some looks that can be done with the wired headband.

I'll be using these 2 wired headbands ;)

This is the plain look, it can also be done with a ribbon.

this is the bow    /   bunny ears
if you push the ends slightly upwards it's the bunny ears, downwards then it's the bow.
I prefer the bow compared to the bunny ears, cause i just find the bunny ears a bit too outrageous for me.

Here's how the side ponytail one looks like. Normally people just braid the wired headband through your hair, but I find it quite challenging, so i just criss-crossed the wired headband in an illusion of a braid.

PS: forgot to publish this post earlier before i left for Genting.

Whips hair ala Justin Bieber. Too charming

If I Had Rapunzel's Hair

Look at all the pretty princesses of Disney. With their long silky smooth hair. But there's one who beats the rest, her name is Rapunzel.

Have you ever thought of having 70 feet long of golden locks just like Rapunzel? That would be so cool! Well, besides the high maintenance these long long locks need from shampooing, conditioning to trimming it 3 times a day!, it definitely would be a real statement to your look.

Walt Disney Pictures presents RAPUNZEL: A TANGLED TALE, an action-packed, swashbuckling, animated musical comedy about the girl behind 70 feet of magical, golden hair. A princess stolen from her parents’ castle as a baby, Rapunzel (voice of MANDY MOORE) is locked in a hidden tower longing for adventure. Now an imaginative and determined teenager, she takes off on a hilarious, hair-raising escapade with the help of a dashing bandit (voice of ZACHARY LEVI). With the secret of her royal heritage hanging in the balance and her captor in pursuit, Rapunzel and her cohort find adventure, heart, humor, and hair… lots of hair.
With original music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Glenn Slater, this comedic re-imagining of the classic Brothers Grimm fairytale comes to theaters in Disney Digital 3D™.

Nuffnang is giving out free movie passes to watch Rapunzel: A Tangled Tale in 3D, to 40 of the most creative blog posts. Besides that, for 4 of the blogger lucky bloggers who outdo the rest, will receive a grand prize of a Nintendo Wii! While 3 Runners up will receive perfume called "Nina" by Nina Ricci Fragrances. Join me, it's just 3 easy steps to win!

  1. Write a blog post with the title “IF I HAD RAPUNZEL’S HAIR
  2. Tell us what you would do if you had 70 feet of magical golden hair. (Be creative!)
  3. Post a picture of your best/eccentric/worst hair in your post.

Lets get started then ...

Since I love felt craft so much, if i ever have hair like Rapunzel i would definitely use it to thread! Imagine, 70 feet of long gold hair and the number of strands you have, UNLIMITED SUPPLY MAN. That's unless you use the wrong shampoo and suddenly go bald :X *touch wood*

photo

say Bye Bye expensive craft thread!

And with the financial crisis were having right now, any alternative would definitely work. No need to waste so much money on thread. Well this only works if i want yellow/gold thread, but you get the point x) It would be hard to whip my hair back and forth, whip my hair back and forth, whip my hair back and forth, whip my hair back and forth! with them 70 feet of hair *neck pain*

If i had Rapunzel's long gold hair, it would work perfectly with my yellow Gameboy range!
See, making both ends meet =D

My shoulder length locks. Still a long way to go.

Don't make me hit you with mom's new ECOPAN =D

This would be my first time submitting an entry for Nuffnang's Premier Screenings. Lets hope it'll turn out as good as Digi Pimp My Day. PS: Forgot to mention what I got with the Rm300 gift voucher from it.

SWATCH! :3

EDIT: Well, good news is I won a pair of tickets, bad news is they got revoked because of my silly mistake of directly replying my attendance to the the email which sent the notification, instead of sending the email to another specific email address which was written in the email. Gameboy Remote Control Sock

Just thought I share my new creation with you :)
After making the Gameboy iPhone cover, cherms insist I make him one for his gate remote control. Hmm. For all the times he paid for my share of Mcdonalds and mango ice shavings(to die for) from 100yen, making one of these for him sounded good :)

After 2 hours of snipping and sewing, turned up this babe.

Cherms wants to be cool, hanging stuff around his neck.
But now he can walk around campus with this cute thing dangling there, while people ask
"Eh Michael, this is so cute! Where you buy?
He says "My sister make one.
Dream on, he'll say "I make one." HA

PS: That's my polka dot ring he stole from me.

Like father like son.

Gameboy iPhone Cover

Learned how to make this video from IGNite Camp Justin. This is where Stop Motion comes in handy, haha! I know right the music! I googled cute music, and Plants VS. Zombie's song popped out. Used it anyho ;P
The video just made it a 100 times cuter XD

First creation of the Gameboy Range is complète! Quite happy with the end product ;)
It leans more towards an iPhone cover, cause the size snugs the iPhone perfectly. The felt helps protect it from scratches too. However, on other phones it might be a little loose but it still lives up to its purpose. The iPad helped out in sewing this little baby, ALOT   ;)

Got the felt yesterday and as soon as I got home I started sewing and cutting. Worked on it till about 2 in the morning. It was giving me a massive headache, but I didn't want to stop cause I like finishing what I started at that day itself, I hope I'm not the only who's like that.

which shade of blue would you like to see on the next Gameboy phone cover?

Still thinking whether I should put it up on sale at ze Blogshop, or ...
The funny thing is, I'm not even an iPhone/iTouch user!
Would you buy it? ;)  Please leave a comment, I BORED TO DEATH.
